On April 18, 2024, the atTRACTION project hosted an insightful webinar titled “Investing in Startups in a Female Style”, presented by Iwona Wierzgała, an experienced entrepreneur and investor. Iwona has a background in business management (MBA) is a certified business trainer and experience in mentoring start-ups at Early Warning Europe and other networks. During the online session, Iwona shared her personal journey, highlighting her experience founding and co-founding several successful companies.
The session focused on how women can find their place in the world of angel investing, drawing on Iwona’s real-world experiences. It was an excellent opportunity for participants to gain practical insights on becoming business angels and entering the investment world, particularly for those who are new to the field. Iwona also shared valuable advice on approaching investments with a unique, intuitive perspective often referred to as the “female style” in investing.
The webinar was part of a broader series designed to support individuals interested in angel investing. The atTRACTION project provides participants with access to a community of business angels, investors, and potential startups, offering networking opportunities, online training, and access to practical investment tools.
Participants left with a deeper understanding of how to approach investments in startups and were encouraged to pursue opportunities to get involved in the world of early-stage investing.
