Organised in collaboration with the Lithuanian Business Angel Network (LitBAN), the atTRACTION project hosted a hybrid event focused on startup investing trends and practices in Lithuania. The event combined inperson participation with an online webinar format, enabling broad engagement from founders, business angels, venture capital representatives, and ecosystem stakeholders.
The event addressed the current state of Lithuania’s startup investment landscape, placing emphasis on databased ecosystem analysis, real investment cases, and practical investor perspectives on how the market is evolving as startups move toward their next growth stages.
Focus on investor experience and market dynamics
The agenda was designed to reflect investordriven perspectives, highlighting how business angels and venture capital funds assess opportunities, structure deals, and support portfolio companies in the current market environment. Discussions explored ecosystem performance, funding activity, and the interaction between earlystage and followon investments.
Insights were shared by experienced ecosystem representatives and investors:
- Gintarė Verbickaitė (Unicorns Lithuania)
- Daiva Rakauskaitė, CFA (Aneli Capital)
- Viktorija Trimbel (Coinvest Capital)
- Eglė Jašinskaitė (BSV Ventures)
- Dmitrij Sosunov (FIRSTPICK)
- Povilas Žinys (Plug and Play Tech Center)
Speakers provided an overview of ecosystem results, reflected on recent investment activity, and discussed how angels and venture capital funds are positioning themselves as Lithuanian startups scale and prepare for further growth.
Startup pitching and practical learning
A key component of the event was the startup pitch session, which featured:
- earlystage startups entering the investment ecosystem, and
- portfolio companies raising followon investment rounds with the support of LitBAN angels.
The pitching sessions offered founders practical exposure to investor expectations, while investors gained insight into emerging teams and maturing portfolio companies.
A special highlight was the participation of a team invited after winning a Pitch Event invitation at the ActInSpace hackathon. Ahead of the European finale, the team had the opportunity to pitch in a real investor setting and received handson feedback aimed at strengthening their value proposition and presentation.
Hybrid format and community engagement
The hybrid event format, including a dedicated webinar component, allowed wider access to content and discussions, while the onsite format supported direct interaction and networking among participants. This combination enabled knowledge sharing across the ecosystem and reinforced peertopeer exchange among investors.
Strengthening the startup ecosystem
Through collaboration between the atTRACTION project and LitBAN, the event contributed to a deeper understanding of investment dynamics, strengthened founder–investor dialogue, and reinforced connections within the Lithuanian startup ecosystem.
An important added value of the event was the opportunity for earlystage and aspiring investors to gain firsthand insights into startup investing by learning directly from experienced business angels and venture capital professionals. The open sharing of practical experience, investment approaches, and lessons learned created a valuable learning environment and supported knowledge transfer within the investor community.
Such initiatives play an important role in fostering sustainable ecosystem growth through shared experience, active investor participation, and continuous knowledge exchange.
