Málaga TechPark, in collaboration with Málaga Pole National Digital Content, successfully hosted a Deep-Tech Start-ups Demo Day as part of the annual Winter Invest 2025 event. This initiative brought together over 200 professionals, 37 investors, 60 ecosystem stakeholders, and nearly 100 start-ups, creating a dynamic environment for innovation, investment, and collaboration.
Seven high-potential deep-tech start-ups were selected to pitch their cutting-edge solutions, covering a diverse range of applications, including:
- Haptics and immersive training – offering realistic physical experiences through advanced technology.
- MedTech devices and immersive surgical education – revolutionizing healthcare and medical training.
- AI-driven educational content creation – transforming learning with intelligent, adaptive tools.
- Real-time voice AI – enhancing communication and accessibility.
- AI-assisted film creation and distribution – bringing creative innovation to media production.
- EdTech leveraging the metaverse, AI, robotics, and VR – creating immersive learning experiences.
The participating start-ups were: OWO, AIRWAY SHIELD SL, Msurgery, Novelingo S.L., Voicepowered AI, PlayMovieAI, and Bebyte.
OWO emerged as the winning start-up, recognized for its innovative wireless haptic vest, which allows users to experience real physical sensations in real time. As part of their prize, OWO will attend Bpifrance DeepTech Week 2026 in Paris, providing a prestigious platform to engage with Europe’s deep-tech innovation and investment ecosystem.
The Demo Day exemplified Málaga’s growing role as a hub for deep-tech innovation, offering start-ups a unique opportunity to connect with investors, foster strategic partnerships, and accelerate their growth on an international scale. The event highlighted the importance of collaboration between entrepreneurs, investors, and innovation stakeholders in driving technological advancement and investment in the region.
This successful initiative marks another step forward in strengthening the European deep-tech ecosystem, inspiring new ideas and supporting start-ups in turning high-impact technological solutions into market-ready innovations.
