Málaga TechPark explores venture capital development in peripheral regions through the Andalusian case
Málaga TechPark will host a new webinar within the framework of the European project atTRACTION on February 20, focusing on the evolution and role of venture capital in peripheral regions, with a particular emphasis on Andalusia.
The atTRACTION webinar series aims to strengthen the European Deep Tech investment ecosystem by offering practical and experience-based sessions for potential investors and innovation ecosystem stakeholders.
The session, entitled “Venture Capital Development in Peripheral Regions: The Case of Andalusia”, will provide a comprehensive overview of how venture capital has evolved in peripheral territories, highlighting key challenges, opportunities and lessons learned from the Andalusian ecosystem.
The webinar will be delivered by Jerónimo Béjar, who managed publicly backed investment funds in Andalusia between 2013 and 2023 and has extensive experience in fostering venture capital development in the region. He has led public financing instruments in collaboration with European institutions and is currently a partner at EONIQ.fund, a private venture capital fund focused on early-stage technology startups in Spain.
The session is aimed at potential investors, innovation ecosystem stakeholders and professionals interested in understanding how venture capital operates in peripheral regions and its role in supporting the growth of Deep Tech companies.
The webinar will take place on February 20, from 12:00 to 13:00 CET, and will be held in Spanish.
