
The atTRACTION demoday Open Call for Deep Tech Start-ups, for which Málaga TechPark was responsible, was an collaborative ecosystem event engaging the key organizations such as the Andalusian Business Angels Network (AABAN), the Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks (APTE), and the National Association of European Business and Innovation Centers (ANCES). Other participants included Bullnet Capital, Clave Mayor, the Andalusian Technology Corporation (CTA), Deloitte, ENISA, Enterprise Europe Network – Andalucía Trade, Finnova, Finnovating, the General Foundation of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC Foundation), Indraventures, LINK by UMA-ATECH, the National Hub for Digital Content, Solvere Capital, SPAINCAP, and Tecnalia Ventures. Additionally, representatives from the United Kingdom, the guest country for 2025, and the international delegation of Transfiere 2025 also took part in the evaluation process.
The event took place within the framework of Transfiere, the European Meeting of Science, Technology and Innovation held in Málaga from March 12 to 14, 2025. Transfiere 2025 gathered 5,200 attendees, over 600 companies, and 400 international experts, making it the most successful edition to date. With participants from more than 30 countries, the forum stood out for its increased international reach and its role in strengthening the territorial innovation ecosystem, fostering collaboration between science, business, and institutions to drive technological advancement.
The first prize was awarded to Tirecat Health startup for its innovative bioinspired membranes with promising preclinical applications in healthcare. The other four outstanding finalists were COLFEED4Print, MacroCarbon, Miramoon Pharma, and Molefy Pharma, each contributing cuttingedge solutions in 3D printing, sustainable raw materials, neurodegenerative disease treatments, and pharmaceutical research., each contributing cutting-edge solutions in 3D printing, sustainable raw materials, neurodegenerative disease treatments, and pharmaceutical research.
The Demo Day was highly valued by the startups participating, who particularly appreciated the visibility provided, the opportunity to pitch in front of investors and industry experts, and the structured feedback received from the evaluation committee. Many participants highlighted the benefits of connecting with potential partners in the framework of the event Transfiere and gaining insights into how to better position their solutions in the market.
