SUMMARY:atTRACTION Networking Event
DESCRIPTION:On 7 October 2025\, the atTRACTION project organised an interactive online networking session dedicated to evaluating the results of the “Roasting” Training Session for selected startups . The 60-minute event brought together partners\, investors and experts to experience refreshed and more dynamic startup presentations delivered by the atTRACTION Champions. \nNine startups from Poland\, Lithuania and Spain participated: BioDiary Labs (PL)\, RamaZottius Lab (LT)\, Brain Predict (LT)\, MuMa (ES)\, A.D.I.M. (ES)\, Adapt-IA Vida\, TechNovator and MiCo Scientific . The format encouraged sharper\, more deal-oriented communication\, pushing founders to present their projects with clarity\, confidence and investor focus. \nThe event consisted of two main elements. During the Quick Pitch session\, startups delivered a classic 1-minute elevator pitch\, followed by an additional 15–30 second “sharp pitch” designed to capture attention instantly. The second part\, the Return Interview\, introduced an innovative\, gamified exchange: startups could select an investor from the audience and ask one direct question related to investment practice — ranging from valuation strategies and red flags to failed cases and personal lessons learned. \nThe session concluded with a live vote for the best startup presentation and the most insightful investor response\, followed by audience recommendations. By combining performance-focused pitching with transparent investor dialogue\, the event strengthened cross-border ecosystem engagement and supported atTRACTION’s objective of enhancing investment readiness through practical\, interactive formats.

SUMMARY:First Customer and Team Matchmaking Accelerator
DESCRIPTION:Bootcamp in 8-9th of May 2025 \nThe First Customer programme in Kaunas saw perhaps the most diverse set of startups. This included a FoodTech startup BiodairyLabs\, a circular solutions startup Re4vive from Germany\, Biotech startups BrachyDose and Kosmeteka from Lithuania\, Edtech startup Lerni from Lithuania and AgriTech startup GrowerAdviser from Poland. In terms of success\, this was the most successful edition\, with Re4vive and GrowerAdviser both securing clients post-program and BiodairyLabs and BrachyDose joining accelerator programs. \nAn interesting discovery in our third edition is that the journey for each startup looks very different. Some startups are quick to get off the ground. The industry dictates the speed of success or what success in that industry looks like. \nThe Bootcamp on May 8th\, organized by Tech-Park Kaunas and Startup Migrants\, aimed to help participants enhance their sales skills and expand their professional networks. The day began with introductions\, followed by a session on how to organize a sales presentation and group work on crafting sales pitches. In the afternoon\, expert speakers shared their experiences and best practices for achieving sales. (Mentors Mantas Venslaukas CEO of Vilimed company\, and Algirdas Noreika\, CEO of Indeform company\, shared their success stories and gDaiave practical insights).  Later\, participants joined a networking coffee with mentors specializing in sales\, marketing\, and strategy to support early business growth. The official program concluded at 17:30\, with an optional community dinner held in the evening. \nThe second day of the bootcamp focused on helping startups create professional video sales pitches. The program began with introductions\, followed by intensive pitch training where participants presented to three different mentors and received feedback to refine their delivery. After lunch\, teams gave final wrap-up presentations before moving on to filming their pitches. The day concluded with all startup pitches successfully recorded on video. \nThe programme success story is BiodairyLabs is a big success. Their product is a plant-based substitute for fat used in foods. BiodairyLabs started off solo and\, through our mentoring\, prioritized finding and creating a team. Since then\, they have actively taken part in most food and agritech fairs in Europe. They have also been part of several acceleration programs in Europe. \nAlso Re4vive was an interesting startup. They already had a company registered in Germany and joined our program in hopes of raising funding. Although funding efforts are still ongoing\, the startup has been able to secure three very big logos as clients. During the program\, they onboarded a pilot customer and now have two more. \nMost founders are so focused on building the perfect product that they are reluctant to get sales started. This has been another discovery: most startups neglect sales and look to hire salespeople rather than focusing on sales itself. Our focus throughout the First Customer programs has been to get these startups started on sales. \nhttps://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7328021222661709825  \nhttps://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7328403433617600512

SUMMARY:Unlock New Markets – Scale your startup into Germany and France
DESCRIPTION:8th of Octoboer 2024 \nThis first atTRACTION online training\, celebrated the 8th of Octoboer 2024\, was focused on providing an introduction to market access to the three highly-innovative ecosystems of Île-de-France\, Baden-Württember\, and Berlin. \n  \nThe event involved allies of atTRACTION in each of these regions\, specifically\, Baden Württembeg International (BW_i)\, Choose Paris Region (CPR)\, and atTRACTION‘s project partners Startup Migrants (SuM) representing the region of Berlin. Each of these organizations provided an effective introduction on the requirements\, challenges\, barriers\, and opportunities to access each of these ecosystems\, as well as some preliminary due diligence to be performed in advance to accessing any of these highly innovative ecosystems. Moreover\, an invitation was extended to a dedicated ecosystem access online workshop focused on the Baden-Württemberg ecosystem by CyberForum. \nAfterwards\, a startup panel discussion was held\, in which three migrant founders\, i.e. Dr. Alevtina Evgrafova CEO and founder of RESEARCHPRENEURS UG\, Johanna Czarnecka CEO and founder of ZIXIO GmbH\, and Mykyta Khodakivskyi co-founder of Devteamradar.com and venture capital & fintech startup development expert\, explained their main challenges and barriers in starting their own companies\, cultural experiences and lessons learnt. \n  \n\n\n\nDr. Alevtina Evgrafova\, CEO and Founder\, Researchpreneurs UG (BW & Berlin)\nJoanna Czarnecka\, CEO and Founder\, ZIXIO GmbH (Berlin)\nMykyta Khodakivskyi\, Co-Founder of Devteamradar (Île-de-France)\n\n\n\n  \nThe panelists shared their motivations for founding their businesses in different ecosystems. Mykyta\, originally from Ukraine\, chose Paris due to the thriving software market and strong support structures for startups\, including accelerators\, incubators\, and mentorship programs. Alevtina\, a Russian researcher\, moved to Berlin\, attracted by the city’s startup culture and support for entrepreneurs\, particularly women. For Joanna\, from a small Polish town\, Berlin’s affordable living and university-linked incubators played a crucial role in launching her startup\, emphasizing the difference between online and offline world regulations. \n  \nIn terms of challenges\, Joanna highlighted the learning curve from academia to entrepreneurship\, the difficulty of building a profitable company\, and the need to adapt to German cultural differences\, especially when interacting with customers. Mykyta emphasized the importance of understanding and integrating into the local culture in Paris\, pointing out that mistakes\, especially in language\, can hinder progress. Alevtina faced challenges related to learning German\, managing financial expectations\, and navigating strict legal regulations in Germany\, particularly for foreign entrepreneurs\, stressing that success requires clarity about competitive advantages and profitability. \n  \nThe discussion also emphasized the need for a strong local network and the support of key people. Alevtina noted the importance of having investors willing to provide support despite challenges in payment flexibility\, while Mykyta underscored the necessity of a local partner to embed successfully within the French market. The importance of cultural sensitivity was reiterated by all\, especially in understanding the unique characteristics of each ecosystem. \nFinally\, the panelists emphasized the importance of mental resilience in entrepreneurship. Alevtina discussed the importance of mental health support and its integration into accelerator programs\, while Joanna stressed the value of international flexibility\, which sets foreign entrepreneurs apart in ecosystems like Germany. Each of their stories reflected how adaptability\, understanding the local market\, and leveraging support systems are key to overcoming initial startup challenges. \n37 persons registerd for the event registrations and at its peak\, 17 active participants took place in the training. \nThe interest in German and French market entry underscores the importance of aligning the project’s training sessions with these two key markets. Thus\, resources and expertise will be prioritized in helping startups navigate entry into these markets\, which are critical for scaling up their operations within Europe. \nThe significant interest in investment opportunities and networking shows the importance of providing platforms for startups to connect with potential investors and partners\, particularly those with international reach. This includes enhance opportunities for cross-border collaborations to strengthen the network and support market expansion. \n  \n
