SUMMARY:Investment Consolidation in New Product Development: atTRACTION Webinar Series Concludes with Hybrid Event in Kaunas
DESCRIPTION:The atTRACTION webinar series concluded on 12 February\, 2026 with a hybrid event and live webinar titled “Investment Consolidation in New Product Development”\, bringing together investors\, ecosystem builders\, and innovation stakeholders for on-site discussions in Kaunas and online participation.  \nOrganised within the atTRACTION project framework\, the final event focused on a central challenge facing innovation ecosystems across Europe:  \nHow can fragmented R&D funding be transformed into coordinated investment pipelines that deliver market-ready products?  \nA clear message emerged from the discussion: capital follows clarity – not just technology.  \nInvestment Attraction Requires Structure\, Not Fragmentation  \nThe event highlighted that successful investment attraction depends less on individual technological breakthroughs and more on how innovation is structured\, financed\, and positioned for the market. Participants emphasised the importance of:  \n\nConsolidated public and private financing mechanisms that reduce investor risk \n\n\nCross-regional co-investment instruments that enable faster scale-up \n\n\nCluster-driven innovation pipelines that provide continuous deal flow rather than isolated projects \n\n\nClear alignment between technology development\, market demand\, and growth strategy \n\nSpeakers underlined that one-off grants are no longer sufficient. Instead\, innovation ecosystems must design structured investment pathways\, where early-stage funding\, R&D instruments\, and private capital are aligned from the outset.  \nKey Investor Signals Identified  \nFrom an investor perspective\, several signals were identified as critical for investment readiness:  \n\nStrong innovation pipelines outperform single-project investment approaches \n\n\nCo-investment frameworks increase credibility\, speed\, and confidence \n\n\nAI and IT innovations are attractive when paired with scalability and governance \n\n\nClusters function as risk-filtering mechanisms\, helping investors assess maturity and potential \n\nThese insights reinforced the role of ecosystem coordination in transforming innovation into investable assets.  \n  \nDesigned Investment Readiness as a Strategic Outcome  \nThe event concluded with a shared understanding that investment readiness is not accidental\, it is designed. When ecosystems consolidate funding instruments\, coordinate stakeholders\, and communicate innovation in market and investment terms\, technologies become scalable\, credible\, and investable.  \nThe atTRACTION project continues to support this transition by strengthening cross-regional collaboration and investment alignment across European ecosystems.  \nThe event featured expert contributions on investment consolidation\, financing of AI and IT innovation\, investment risk management\, and the alignment of innovation with market and investor expectations. Insights were shared by Justina Rukšnaitė and Tomas Nakutis (Research Council of Lithuania)\, Gvidas Petružis (Vilnius University)\, and Inga Uus (Decreo)\, shaping a discussion focused on capital efficiency\, scalability\, and longterm value creation.

SUMMARY: Lithuania's Startup Investing Landscape: Data\, Deals\, Directions in 2026
DESCRIPTION:Organised in collaboration with the Lithuanian Business Angel Network (LitBAN)\, the atTRACTION project hosted a hybrid event focused on startup investing trends and practices in Lithuania. The event combined inperson participation with an online webinar format\, enabling broad engagement from founders\, business angels\, venture capital representatives\, and ecosystem stakeholders.  \nThe event addressed the current state of Lithuania’s startup investment landscape\, placing emphasis on databased ecosystem analysis\, real investment cases\, and practical investor perspectives on how the market is evolving as startups move toward their next growth stages.  \nFocus on investor experience and market dynamics  \nThe agenda was designed to reflect investordriven perspectives\, highlighting how business angels and venture capital funds assess opportunities\, structure deals\, and support portfolio companies in the current market environment. Discussions explored ecosystem performance\, funding activity\, and the interaction between earlystage and followon investments.  \nInsights were shared by experienced ecosystem representatives and investors:  \n\nGintarė Verbickaitė (Unicorns Lithuania) \n\n\nDaiva Rakauskaitė\, CFA (Aneli Capital) \n\n\nViktorija Trimbel (Coinvest Capital) \n\n\nEglė Jašinskaitė (BSV Ventures) \n\n\nDmitrij Sosunov (FIRSTPICK) \n\n\nPovilas Žinys (Plug and Play Tech Center) \n\nSpeakers provided an overview of ecosystem results\, reflected on recent investment activity\, and discussed how angels and venture capital funds are positioning themselves as Lithuanian startups scale and prepare for further growth.  \nStartup pitching and practical learning  \nA key component of the event was the startup pitch session\, which featured:  \n\nearlystage startups entering the investment ecosystem\, and \n\n\nportfolio companies raising followon investment rounds with the support of LitBAN angels. \n\nThe pitching sessions offered founders practical exposure to investor expectations\, while investors gained insight into emerging teams and maturing portfolio companies.  \nA special highlight was the participation of a team invited after winning a Pitch Event invitation at the ActInSpace hackathon. Ahead of the European finale\, the team had the opportunity to pitch in a real investor setting and received handson feedback aimed at strengthening their value proposition and presentation.  \nHybrid format and community engagement  \nThe hybrid event format\, including a dedicated webinar component\, allowed wider access to content and discussions\, while the onsite format supported direct interaction and networking among participants. This combination enabled knowledge sharing across the ecosystem and reinforced peertopeer exchange among investors.  \nStrengthening the startup ecosystem  \nThrough collaboration between the atTRACTION project and LitBAN\, the event contributed to a deeper understanding of investment dynamics\, strengthened founder–investor dialogue\, and reinforced connections within the Lithuanian startup ecosystem.  \nAn important added value of the event was the opportunity for earlystage and aspiring investors to gain firsthand insights into startup investing by learning directly from experienced business angels and venture capital professionals. The open sharing of practical experience\, investment approaches\, and lessons learned created a valuable learning environment and supported knowledge transfer within the investor community.  \nSuch initiatives play an important role in fostering sustainable ecosystem growth through shared experience\, active investor participation\, and continuous knowledge exchange.

SUMMARY:First Customer and Team Matchmaking Accelerator
DESCRIPTION:Bootcamp in 8-9th of May 2025 \nThe First Customer programme in Kaunas saw perhaps the most diverse set of startups. This included a FoodTech startup BiodairyLabs\, a circular solutions startup Re4vive from Germany\, Biotech startups BrachyDose and Kosmeteka from Lithuania\, Edtech startup Lerni from Lithuania and AgriTech startup GrowerAdviser from Poland. In terms of success\, this was the most successful edition\, with Re4vive and GrowerAdviser both securing clients post-program and BiodairyLabs and BrachyDose joining accelerator programs. \nAn interesting discovery in our third edition is that the journey for each startup looks very different. Some startups are quick to get off the ground. The industry dictates the speed of success or what success in that industry looks like. \nThe Bootcamp on May 8th\, organized by Tech-Park Kaunas and Startup Migrants\, aimed to help participants enhance their sales skills and expand their professional networks. The day began with introductions\, followed by a session on how to organize a sales presentation and group work on crafting sales pitches. In the afternoon\, expert speakers shared their experiences and best practices for achieving sales. (Mentors Mantas Venslaukas CEO of Vilimed company\, and Algirdas Noreika\, CEO of Indeform company\, shared their success stories and gDaiave practical insights).  Later\, participants joined a networking coffee with mentors specializing in sales\, marketing\, and strategy to support early business growth. The official program concluded at 17:30\, with an optional community dinner held in the evening. \nThe second day of the bootcamp focused on helping startups create professional video sales pitches. The program began with introductions\, followed by intensive pitch training where participants presented to three different mentors and received feedback to refine their delivery. After lunch\, teams gave final wrap-up presentations before moving on to filming their pitches. The day concluded with all startup pitches successfully recorded on video. \nThe programme success story is BiodairyLabs is a big success. Their product is a plant-based substitute for fat used in foods. BiodairyLabs started off solo and\, through our mentoring\, prioritized finding and creating a team. Since then\, they have actively taken part in most food and agritech fairs in Europe. They have also been part of several acceleration programs in Europe. \nAlso Re4vive was an interesting startup. They already had a company registered in Germany and joined our program in hopes of raising funding. Although funding efforts are still ongoing\, the startup has been able to secure three very big logos as clients. During the program\, they onboarded a pilot customer and now have two more. \nMost founders are so focused on building the perfect product that they are reluctant to get sales started. This has been another discovery: most startups neglect sales and look to hire salespeople rather than focusing on sales itself. Our focus throughout the First Customer programs has been to get these startups started on sales. \nhttps://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7328021222661709825  \nhttps://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7328403433617600512
